2018"In 2017, my parents travelled back to Laos for the first time since they immigrated to the United States as refugees. Returning to the country they grew up in carried so much weight and emotion I will never be able to understand. Returning converses with Hmong story cloths and share my family's personal history as Hmong Americans."
